From 5 to 12 April 2025, the Lesotho Association of Teachers carried out the regional selections as part of this year’s Union Sports Programme.
The programme began with football trials on 5–6 April, which brought together LAT members from different districts in a vibrant and collaborative atmosphere. It was an inspiring moment to witness teachers engaging with such energy, teamwork and commitment, both on and off the field.
The final selection day for all other disciplines took place on 12 April in Maseru, and included athletics, netball, volleyball, chess, darts, lawn tennis, and pool.
The next big event in the sports calendar is the LAT/SADTU Free State Fraternal Games, scheduled for 26 April 2025at Lesotho High School. This gathering of teacher unions from the region will be a key moment to continue building solidarity through sport.
